SCHOOL DIARIES: FASHION INSTITUTE OF THE PHILIPPINES

Ever since I was a freshman student, (YES, THAT WAS 2008, 4 YEARS AGO) I wanted to take short courses in Fashion Institute of the Philippines. And now that I am finally in UP Diliman taking Clothing Technology, and had more time for my passion, I decided to enroll myself  in FIP. Yes, I am enrolled both in UP and FIP! Juggling 2 schools is awesome if I must say!

Instead of asking for disposable ever changing gadgets, I asked my Tita Chantelle, Tita Achelle, Tita Terry, and My Grandparents, Papa Roger & Mama Nieves (WHO ARE READING MY BLOG) if they could just give me the class fee for the said classes as their birthday gift! And Thank God, they all agreed! WUHOO!

So far, Here’s what happened to my first 2 weeks in Fashion Institute

One of my first project was a square bag! Here I am making patterns and ironing the cloth for the big.

Essentials in a designer’s life! Fabric Shears and Steel Heads.

Yes, Concentrate si Ate! Heehee

I had to iron the Pelon Fuse to the Cloth! Yes, I’ve been Ironing ever since I was 10! So I handled it well!

I swear, I can marry already! I know how to wash the dishes, do the laundry, and iron clothes! Heehee

Here I am with one of my teachers, The beautiful and Bubbly fashion designer, Hazel Cargado!

She’s one of the finalist of  MEGA Young Designers Competition 2012

My favorite part of the school and classes, is the awesome view of the sunset! Sunrise and Sunset are one of the best free things in life! Definitely my weakness!

It’s been just 2 weeks, but I’m so happy already! Shifting to clothing technology and enrolling in classes in Fashion Institute so far is the happiest I’ve been my whole college life. It’s really different when you pursue your passion. You don’t study, You learn. Knowledge is Power. I’ll need that in my Superwoman Fashion Entrepreneur Dreams! Real Soon!
